Patio’s technique blossomed through graduate work immersion in process painting, a practice that embraces impermanence and vulnerability. Each canvas undergoes a meticulous transformation as color field paintings merge and evolve into singular, cohesive compositions. This process mirrors the artist’s connection to the natural world and a belief in the transformative potential of art.
